California Live Oak

The long, narrow valleys in Northern California are covered with a wonderful grass that turns golden in the dry summer heat.  Many of the rolling valley walls are punctuated by Live Oak trees with a broad canopy of gnarled branches.  The patterns formed by grassy hills, trees, shadows and haze are mysterious and ever changing.
