Sego Canyon Pictography

 

These larger-than-life anthropomorphic forms were painted on the west wall of Sego Canyon in Utah.  They are 'Barrier Canyon' style which dates the pictographs from 8,000 BC to 2,000 BC, prior to the introduction of corn as an agricultural product.  What did they use for paint, to make it last so many thousands of years?  Fascinating!
